Woke up this morning to find out that Propellerhead Figure hit the iPhone app store. I’ve only played with it for a couple of minutes while my computer was booting up, but it seems like a fun little program for $0.99. Not a ton of features, but the limitations make it easier to focus on getting something interesting out of what you have.
I’ve been on a chip sound kick lately, and decided to make some ringtones and notification sounds. Two ringtones and sixteen notification sounds to be exact, emulating some of my favorite sounds from the 8-bit era. I made these for my Droid, but feel free to use them on your mp3-capable device. For you audio nerds, I used a combination of Plogue Chipsounds and the built-in generators of FL Studio. The entire collection was also composed and sequenced in FL Studio.
